FAQ

  • Emily believes there are three possible outcomes for counseling: getting better, getting worse, and staying the same. She says that if your life stays the same, therapy is not working. If it gets better or worse, it’s working and you should keep pushing forward.

Through the therapeutic relationship, Emily believes all parties should grow, deepen their understanding of self and others, and extend their new knowledge and skills into their communities. She uses humor, honesty, validation, and compassion to gently nudge her clients towards improvement.
