Grief

What is it?

Grief is a very normal and universal emotion and is a psychological response to important losses in our lives. From the death of a loved one to the end of a relationship or a major life change, grief can occur at any stage of life.

3 Reasons it Matters

  1. Embracing and accepting feelings of sadness, even deep anguish, enables us to navigate the grieving process, acknowledge what has happened, and ultimately feel better.
  2. If you allow yourself to go through the processes of grief, you will establish a better place of contentment in life. You may even develop a deeper wisdom of letting go and finding compassion for others.
  3. Choosing to let others into our grief is a necessary and deeply fulfilling part of the experience. It affirms we are not alone in this world.
