In therapy the concept of “parallel process” refers to the way growth and change can occur simultaneously for both client and therapist during the counseling journey. One of Peter’s favorite aspects of counseling is witnessing this dynamic, where the therapeutic relationship fosters an environment in which both parties are engaged in meaningful self-reflection and connection.
